Native to Phoenix, Arizona; however, I spent my early to middle childhood in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. My family and I moved back to Arizona just prior to high school. My dad and most of my family still live in Pennsylvania, giving me a great excuse to escape to the East coast every year. Graduated from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1995. I loved and still love playing sports. I played varsity softball during high school and later recreational volleyball, softball, and tennis. I also met my high school sweetheart and future husband at Saguaro High School. Graduated cum laude with a Bachelorette in Science with a major in Human Biology and a minor in Chemistry from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona in 1999. I attended and graduated from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2001. I’ve been working in Oncology since 2001 with a six month employment in Radiation Oncology. I started working for Palo Verde Hematology Oncology in September of 2004. I was commissioned as a physician assistant into the Army National Guard in 2002. I wanted to give back and care for our soldiers, especially after the events of September 11th. I was deployed to Al Taqaddum and Baghdad, Iraq from 2005 to 2006. Palo Verde was very supportive of me and my family and the military during my deployment and multiple soldier tasks and training along the way. I resigned my commission in May of 2011 after serving eight and a half years in the military. My priorities changed as my family extended with the blessing of two beautiful children.
