Nazish Ahmad, D.O.

Dr. Ahmad was born in Karachi, Pakistan and moved to the United States at the age of 10. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, she was recognized as a Siemens-Westinghouse Finalist as a junior in high school. While attending Stony Brook University, she majored in Anthropology and spent a summer abroad in Tanzania, where she conducted her studies in the local Swahili language and focused on social and medical challenges associated with HIV/AIDS.
After graduating cum laude, she completed her medical education at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was a member of the Psi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society and graduated with the highest honors. During her fourth year, she completed a practical rotation at Palo Verde Cancer Specialists under the mentorship of Dr. Halepota.
She moved to Los Angeles to complete her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Southern California. Under the mentorship of renowned Dr. David Quinn, she worked on a variety of oncology-related research projects and cemented her desire to pursue Oncology and Hematology as a career.
She followed her Internal Medicine residency by graduating at the top of her fellowship class, specializing in Hematology and Oncology at the Hofstra North Shore-Long Island Jewish health system in New York.
Her career came full circle when she returned to Arizona to join Palo Verde Cancer Specialists. She is deeply passionate about her field and prides herself on providing an unparalleled level of patient care.
Dr. Ahmad speaks fluent Urdu/Hindi and enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with her husband and two children.
