Sucai Bi MD. PhD joined Internists, Oncologists, Ltd in 2003 after completing Internal Medicine residency and Hematology and Medical Oncology fellowship at the Rush-Presbyterian St Luke’s Medical Center of the Rush University in Chicago, Illinois, receiving his medical degree in 1984. He continued his academic hematology and oncology training and cancer research career in China and at the Royal Postgraduate Medical School of the University of London, United Kingdom from 1987 to 2003.

After completed his PhD study focused on the molecular evolution of chronic myeloid leukemia transformation under the supervision of Professor John M. Goldman, he then joined the St Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN studying molecular mechanism of chemotherapy drug resistance in colon cancer model. He joined the faculty of the Rush Cancer Institute of the Rush University in 2005. He focused his research interests in the molecular evolution and novel clinical interventions of myelodysplastic syndrome and acute leukemia with supportive grand from the National Institute of Health.

Dr. Bi has authored many publications in the peer-reviewed journals including many of them being first and corresponding author.  Dr. Bi continued his interests in the molecular evolution and its applications in daily practice of hematology and oncology in the post-genome era. His current practice encompassing general oncology and hematology with major interests concentrated on the breast cancer, lung cancer, hematological and GI malignancies. Dr. Bi has also been active in participating in clinical trials. Dr. Bi has been board certified in both Medical Oncology and Hematology since 2003.

He enjoys photography, various interest with his children and speaks Mandarin Chinese.
